The Habbzy Habbo of the Week is a chance for us to feature one of the many community members who make Habbzy feel like family. It may be a DJ, a staff member, or someone who just shows up often and keeps the vibe uplifting. If you're looking for a Habbo with a reputation that precedes him, there's nobody in the same league as this week's spotlight, Pipes!
Whether you've been to one of the numerous Habbzy listening parties hosted in one of Pipes rooms or you clocked that his masterpieces were noted as the favorite rooms of three consecutive Habbos of the Week... we all know Pipes' room building talent is unmatched; however, what might too often go unsaid are the more humble talents of his... The ability to make you feel welcome in any space, his giant heart that will pull him in thirty directions to help his fellow Habbos, or how much energy he puts into hyping up the skills and talents of others.
This week, we want to recognize the incredible amount of time, energy, and passion Pipes puts into supporting Habbzy (the site and its people). Read what he has to share with us down below:
What brought you to Habbzy?
I was hanging out one night in one of the first rooms I made on Habbo Origins, The Smokin' Shack, shortly after launch. I was smoking it up with user Rawger and a couple other people, just chatting, staying low-key. When all of the sudden in rolls Macca with about 15 people following him! They were all dancing and having a blast, the room wasn't designed for high traffic so the doorway was blocked immediately, but for the next probably hour we partied and hung out and had a great time. Macca then messaged me inviting me to join their fansite and build rooms to host events in, and the rest is history!
Where will people most commonly find you in Habbo?
Either in one of my own rooms hunched over my rollers, playing with my z-shelves. Or in any room with Habbzy.com in it's title, hanging out with the community!
What is the story behind your username?
The username Alex and Al were already taken, and I'm a pipefitter by trade. Pipes seemed fitting.
Are there any features you really hope get added to Origins?
I really hope they fix the layering of stacked furni in large sized rooms, but that's more of a fix than a feature. My most anticipated feature would have to be Trax. I used to spend hours as a kid mixing up bangers on that little machine!
When you are offline, what do you enjoy doing?
I'm an avid Lego collector, movie watcher, YouTube enjoyer, and the occasional videogame with friends (as long as there's some kind of building mechanic in it).
What inspires you during your room building process?
Honestly anything and everything inspires me. I find inspiration everywhere I look, from real life architecture and design, to other people's rooms on Habbo. Inspiration seems to jump out at me from the most unexpected of places.
Do you have any parting words for your fellow Habbos?
Be good to the people around you, work hard, listen patiently, love passionately, and the world will be good to you in return.
