Community Update - Habbo of the Week, Origins Events, Room Highlights, Spotify Playlists and ...Diamond Swords?

Hey Habbzynauts!

I wanted to share a quick update with everyone on where the team is with our current transition and what's coming up for the community.

But first, Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you've all had a wonderful week and are ending it with the ones you love.

... and if not, spend it with Habbzy! The homies have plenty of love to share!

Now, let's talk about what's coming next!

Habbo of the Week Revival

Habbo of the week will be returning very soon thanks to the efforts of our newest News team member, jazzkill, and the always wonderful Carter!

The program will be starting off a little slower than previously with a new Habbo being named every 2 weeks until we get into the swing of things.

You can look forward to these Habbo Highlights being shared on the website and here!

Habbzy Origins Events!

Habbo Hotel: Origins is what brought us all together and it will remain our bread and butter. We're committed to bringing fun and excitement to the hotel at large.

Galaxy has been hard at work building wonderful rooms and game ideas for the hotel at large for quite some time and he's been planning some fun games on Habbo Hotel: Origins for all of us to enjoy.

While nothing is quite set in stone, the current plan is to try and get some of these rolling as soon as NEXT WEEK!

These events will be announced in the discord server in habbzy-events channel and using the Discord event functionality.

This dude likes doing some wild stuff, so expect the unexpected!

Room Highlights

This project is still in the early concept phase, but the idea is that our VERY talented builders, Pipes and Galaxy, will be working together to highlight unique and wonderful builds in Habbo Hotel: Origins in a format similar to Habbo of the Week!

These highlights will be based on all user builds, not just Habbzy members, and I look forward to seeing what these two find out there!

Spotify Playlist Support

Tired of missing all the live broadcasts due to wacky timezone differences? Still want to discover some great new music?

Worry not!

With the new Habbzy Spotify Account, which is being helmed by Vizzy, you'll be able to find curated playlists made in collaboration with our Radio team to highlight their all time favorite tracks so you can get a taste of what each DJ digs!

We also plan to support themed and holiday playlists in the future as well!

This feature will be launching soon, so stay tuned for more!

Beyond the Hotel and to the mines! Habbzy comes to Minecraft!

In my initial announcement regarding the future of Habbzy, I mentioned that the community will begin experimenting with other games and events and we feel that we're close to being ready to give this a shot.

What better game to start out with than Minecraft?!

Habbzy will be launching a 24/7 dedicated Minecraft server on the Java edition of the game soon.

The current plan is to keep the server very close to vanilla with some plugins enabled, such as allowing Bedrock edition players to join in on the fun.

This server will be open to all community members and moderated by several members of the community to help ensure things stay fun and fair.

This server will be ready sooner rather than later and instructions on how to join will be shared here once we're ready to launch.

In addition, server roles and channels (text and voice) specific for Minecraft will be added to coincide with the launch.
