I wanted to share this post to provide some insight on the current state of Habbzy.

I have been given the opportunity to step into an owner role and work to keep the community open.

My first task with this new responsibility is to share this message with all of you to set a new precedent of transparency and consistent communication along with my vision for the community.

It's no secret that the population for Habbo Hotel: Origins has been on a decline since it's launch in the Summer of 2024, and I do not believe that me stepping into this role is going to suddenly fix the population issues and see a massive increase in our community or server activity.

But to be crystal clear, I do not care about population numbers or activity levels.

The vast majority of us are well into adulthood with plenty of our own responsibilities, and we cannot sustain a regular schedule of guaranteed play or performance. So I want it to be known that if you decide to support Habbzy with your time and efforts, no matter how infrequent they may be, your contributions will always be wanted and beyond that, appreciated.

I care about the community we have right now, not inflating numbers to feel good.

This goes for all the members of our various teams all the way to the oldest lurker in the Discord server to the Habbo that hangs out once in a blue moon on the hotel.

There are no artificial goal posts for activity, numbers, or contributions. If you decide to take a hiatus and leave for 6-months, my goal is for Habbzy to be open and more or less left the way you found it when you come back.

Personally, I believe that Habbo Hotel: Origins -is- on the right path with their roadmap and updates and I do believe that the game will get better over time and I want to make sure that new and returning players find familiarity in this community if they decide it's something they want to be a part of.

Which brings me to the point of this community.

If you're looking for a place to be dramatic, fuel conflict, trash rooms, or troll others - this isn't the place for you.

Habbzy was founded with the intention to serve as a safe and inclusive community that focuses on socialization, friendship, creativity, and fun.

It was intended to be a place where players can feel comfortable being their true selves without fear of hate or ridicule; and to be a place where the oftentimes harsh or difficult realities of the day-to-day can be left behind for a while, not piled upon.

This mission statement is as important to me today as it was when the community was founded, and it's something that will remain at the forefront of my mind every step of the way.

I also want to be open that I am keenly aware of these few truths.

• Habbzy isn't free to operate.

• Habbo Hotel: Origins' future isn't guaranteed.

• Our time together may be finite.

While I acknowledge and accept these truths, I still feel both honored and obligated to have the opportunity to step up and try to keep us progressing forward and to keep the lights on for a bit longer.

So what's next?

My current roadmap looks a bit like this...

• Initial Communication (this message!)

• Communicate with Habbzy staff to garner feedback on where we are, where they would like us to be, and how they feel about the community/their role in it/and my position.

• Polling the community on their thoughts and ideas.

• Working with team members to find their niche and help build an audience for their events and shows.

• Offering non-habbo hotel origins events/gamenights.

This is all subject to evolve over time and I'm just getting started so I'll need to get my legs under me.
